Complaint Letter to Maxis

Dear Sirs,

I consider myself a loyal Maxis customer as I have been using the line, in fact the same number for about 10 years now. Started with a prepaid account and now switched to post-paid account together with a supplementary line.

4 months ago, I purchased an iphone during one of Maxis iphone roadshows at my office and as I don’t have the intention to switch to other telcos, I don’t mind being tied to a 2 year contract as I have been generally satisfied with the services that you have provided thus far.

However, on the 1st day of Eid my iphone was stolen. I called the customer service and they were very sympathetic and cooperative. They even advised me to suspend the numbers although they cannot accommodate my request to check for location of the last call made. The officer also informed me that I can purchase a 2nd iphone at any of the Maxis Customer Service Centre. However, I did not ask about the price for the purchase of the 2nd iphone.

The same night I went to KLCC Maxis Centre to get the SIM card replacement and to my disappointment I was told that I cannot purchase an iphone without the accompanying plan. I informed him that my iphone was stolen and I still have about 20 months to go. I still want to continue with my plan, and most importantly I still want to use an iphone. Again, to my dismay and disappointment the officer told me it is not possible to purchase an iphone without a plan. I was so disappointed and frustrated with his solution and advice to a loyal customer such as me especially when I know that I can purchase a 2nd iphone (via telephone conversation with the customer service). I requested him to check with his supervisor and after checking the officer informed me that I can purchase a 3G iphone if I take up the prepaid plan. I asked him if I can get a 3GS and again his answer is ‘no no u cant, u have to take up a new plan. Is that the only solution or advice that he can provide to the customers.

It is certainly not reasonable and unjustifiable if I intent to purchase/replace my stolen iphone and I am asked to continue with my existing plan or otherwise pay a hefty penalty if I want to terminate the existing contract.

Then, I asked him again what if I still have my iphone 3G and I want to upgrade to a 3GS. Again I received the same answer ‘you have to take up new plan’. So what about my existing contract/plan? So I have to serve 2 plans now? He did not answer my question and I requested him to call the supervisor as I wanted to verify/consult him. Again he went to seek his supervisor’s advice, and later he came (without the supervisor) and informed me that I can purchase a 3GS if my name is listed under the executive list (not sure the name of the list though) and I can enjoy a rebate of RM500. Obviously my name is in the list and as such I am entitled to purchase a 3GS.

Just imagine if I am the type of customer who doesn’t ask any questions, it would amount to an abuse of the process or simply in layman terms a daylight robbery. You have the duty to inform your customer on the possible solutions to overcome a problem and not simply provide the easiest answer which is take up new plan which would be beneficial to your company of course.

As I have mentioned above, I still wish to continue with my existing plan/contract despite intense persuasion from other telcos simply because I have been using the numbers for so long and I have no complaint in respect of your services until this recent incident.

I would be very grateful if you can provide me with a reasonable solution or otherwise give me the opportunity to purchase/replace my stolen iphone with the new iphone 3GS at the rate offered to Maxis new customer.

I shall wait for your favourable reply or otherwise I shall consider switching to other telcos.

Iphone ku kena curik di hari Raya...

Sedess sangat... di hari raya di hari mulia ada jugak budak2 panjang tangan... AA kata salah aku pasal tinggal handphone atas coffee table macam 'invitation to treat' la... Tapi kalau dah kat rumah sendiri mana nak terpikir ada orang akan curik the phone. Betul tak?

Nak buat macam mana... Sedess dan ralat je la.. contract pun tak abis lagi baru pakai 4 bulan and still ada 20 months to go... and to make matter worse maxis centre pun not very helpful.... asik nak suruh amik line baru je... i dont want a new line i just need a new phone.... Dah lepas2 pakai Iphone ni biler survery phone lain rasa mcam tader mood je... Terbayang2 masih Iphone ku itu.... Tapi tengah bengang dengan maxis... Aku dah naik suara dah kat Maxis Centre KLCC ari tu... orang lain pun dah tgk2 kat aku.... Aku bengang giler kalau tatau product jangan simply cakap aku kena amik line baru jek... Abis tu aku nak buat haper dengan commitment aku skrg? Kalau nak terminate kena bayar penalty RM1400, tu dah nak dekat dengan harga Iphone 3gs dah

Hari Jumaat 18 September 2009, lagi 2 hari nak raya and aku masih di ofis... Hehehhe macam la buat keje pun... dari pagi aku datang sampai sekarang aku rasa satu keje pun tak buat lagi... Tengok email, discussion ngan my collegues (pasal kena marah ngan boss hehhehe pasal tak reply email on time), then pegi Alamanda (atas alasan nak cari baju kurung untuk my non-muslim colleague), then masuk ofis balik, aku clearkan email dan sekarang update blog pulak. Lepas ni nak gi solat, then pukul 4pm nak balik yahoo...

Hubby pun tetibe call ajak buka kat luar... ntah apa kena tah... tapi taper dia tgh mood baik tu ikut je la...

Anyway kengkawan semua...

Buka Puasa ehsan Astro Oasis

Aku terpanggil sejak semalam untuk menulis post kali ini iaitu ‘Tarawikh Bersama Akil’ hehehe macam kelakar pulak… Takde la… Macam yang korang tau sekarang ni terlalu banyak berita dan cerita yang kurang menarik tentang Ustaz Akil and personally aku takde la minat pun ngan nasyid-nasyid Ustaz Akil selama ni.

Aku pernah jumpa dengan Ustaz Akil sekali la kat ofis untuk sign agreement. Orangnya sangat kurus dan lemah lembut dan penuh budi bahasa. Dia membahasakan dirinya sebagai ‘ana’… Ana ko jangan perasan pulak heeehee… dalam hati aku (mula la nak jahat mulut nih hehehhe) ala mamat ni besa je, so what’s the big deal about him… aku lagi tambah bosan biler baca kes perceraian dan perkahwinan dia. Tak paham…. Not that I have anything against him tapi Cuma tak paham….

Semalam, ofis aku ada buat majlis berbuka puasa atas ehsan Astro Oasis. So, since it was organized by Oasis, maka majlis berbuka puasa itu pun bercirikan Islam. Majlis bermula pukul 6pm dengan bacaan ayat-ayat suci Al-Quran oleh Puan Fatimah Khasif, juara tilawah untuk 2 tahun berturut2 kemudian dituruti dengan tazkirah daripada Ustaz Asri (semua ni ikon Oasis la). Dari tazkirah sementara menunggu waktu berbuka puasa, Ustaz Asri membuka perbincangan tentang hukuman sebat Kartika. Topic hangat masa kini dan telah disensasikan oleh media barat yang tak faham tentang islam. Aku pun susah nak explain to my non-muslim colleagues about the Islamic dos and donts. Tapi nasib baik la aku ada belajar Islamic Criminal Law masa kat UiTM dulu ehich was one of my favourite subject. So dapat la aku explain kat colleagues aku pasal hokum hudud dan sebagainya…. So harap mereka faham walaupun tak dapat menerima jenis hukuman yang terdapat dalam Islam.

Alamak lari topic pulak…. So back to majlis buka puasa ehsan Astro Oasis. Masuk waktu buka, kami berbuka dengan kurma dan kueh. Solat Maghrib berjemaah dan kemudian makan malam ala-ala kampong. Lauknya banyak tapi dah sejuk sebab aircond sejuk giler sampai rasa boleh kena brian freeze jek… Nasi putih, ayam percik, ikan baker, ikan patin masak tempoyak, kerabu pegaga and taugeh, ikan bilis petai, ulam-ulaman, sambal belacan dan sambal air asam. Boleh la tahan sedap Cuma tak tahan sejuk je… lepas makan solat Isyak dan diimamkan oleh Ustaz Nabil dan highlight of the night solat tarawikh yang diimamkan oleh Ustaz Akhol Hayy.

Masyaallah…. Sungguh syahdu dan mendayu suara Ustaz Akhil. Sungguh aku tak sangka… Aku ingat biasa-biasa je bile dengar nasyid dia sebelum ni… Tu la kuasa tuhan, tak sama biler dengar bacaan ayat suci secara live dan recorded. Walaupun dia baca surah panjang tapi tak rasa pun…. Campur sejuk jugak kot… wooo first time tau solat tarawikh satu titik peluh pun tak kuar. Sekejap je rasa tarawikh dah habis (hehehhe buat lapan je pun)…. Tapi aku bersyukur cos dapat dengar dan berimamkan dia semalam…. Hmmm patutla agaknya Waheeda tertarik hehheheh…

So lepas tarawikh mesti la ada more… ada karipap suam-suam kuku, kueh mueh dan ubi rebus cecah gule kelapa or sambal. Tapi potong la ada bg sambal belacan… hidang balik sambal ikan bilis tadi pun taper…

So lepas tu balik dengan berbekal berkat bubur lambuk dan juga left-overs yang sangat banyak itu hehhehehe….

Apapun…. Aku terpegun dengan suara dan bacaaan Ustaz Akhil yang sungguh syahdu dan merdu….

Today is the first day of work after a long 3 day weekend... Hmmm you are soo rigghttt... of course... So not in the mood to do any work, and after a call to the business unit, waalllaaa the urgent MOU is no longer urgent... yeehaaa...

So this is what i have been doing not from morning but since after lunch... Hmmm but i dint get to do any work... So what have i done since morning...

Hmm... Dont know la... Dont care la... As long as no urgent MOU...

Raya Bundle

Hmmm... Tatau la saper yang lagi excited, mak budak ke budak-budak tu sendiri... Aku dah beli baju raya Haikal and Alaani as early as April, masa pegi Bandung and Jakarta dulu... Baju yang branded and besar2 aku ... simpan for raya.... So in the end... Ini lah hasilnya...

Btw, i dont have to pay anything for Alaani's necklace and pendant... I traded in my old necklace and earings... And on top of that got myself new bracelet hahhahaha... Boleh ker mcm tu...

Tu la... Tatau saper yang beria... Anyways... i bought semua sket2... Eh yer ker? Tak jugak hahaahaa... Nothing more to buy now, except... alamak kenapa ada except pulak ni... Anyway except songkok and butang baju melayu for Haikal and socks for both of them. Hmmm... maybe tak perlu kot...
